November 30th, 2007

Hard disk drive (HDD) is a non-volatile magnetic disk device that can permanently store electronic data necessary for your personal computers or notebooks to function properly. It is like your electronic ‘data center’. It provides you relatively quick access to large amounts of information at a fraction of a second. The Integrated Drive Electronics (IDE) hard disk is a very common type of HDD. IDE hard disks are accessed using the parallel ATA bus type.
